Siena At Old Orchard| 9360 Skokie Blvd| Skokie Condos

The Skokie real estate and Skokie condo market got a huge addition in 2006 with the Siena @ Old Orchard condo project developed by Lennar. This 6 story,110 unit complex is broken down into 2 buildings: 9360 and 9350 Skokie Boulevard.. Siena at Old Orchard is located a stones throw away from the Old Orchard Shopping center..

The building itself is an emposing sight when you are driving down Skokie Boulevard.. It is no where near as sharp and as cool looking as the Skokie Condos at the Optima Building, but not many buildings are.  Several of these units were fairly overpriced by Skokie Real Estate standards when they first came on the market in 2006-2007.. $535,000 for a 3bedroom condo and $430,000 for a 2bed/2bath condo in Skokie...Cmon lets be serious..For those who paid that much back then, my condolences. Several of the other 2bed/2bath skokie condos were selling in the high 200ks- to mid 300ks in 2006-2007

I would have loved to see these skokie condos built in downtown Skokie, but that is just me.. One of he big knocks against these Skokie Condos is lack of ammenities.. There is No Gym or No Pool.. What kind of modern day condo building doesnt offer at least one of the two? If you are fortunate enough to be on the 6th floor and facing towards the city, you can see the city skyline from your window.

OLD ORCHARD SHOPPING CENTER| Skokie Shopping

Skokie's most Famous attraction and its Most Profitable is the Old Orchard Shopping Center located at : 4999 Old Orchard Center in Skokie. This is the 3rd best outdoor mall in my opinon behind Oak Brook shopping center and the Woodfield Shopping center in Schaumburg.  Old Orchard offers a nice outdoor shopping experience with a well kept exterior, a good variety of STORES and decent RESTAURANTS

Some of the more well known stores in Old Orchard are Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, Macys, Lord and Taylor, Banana Republic.

Old Orchard is also the hub of the Skokie Dining scene.. Skokie doesn't have a large amount of restaurants, but the majority of all the Skokie restaurants can be found at Old Orchard.
Some of the more well known restaurants in Old Orchard are: Maggianos, MCcormick and Schmicks, Cheesecake factory, Champs Americana

Old Orchard  also is home to the Old Orchard Cinema.. The 2nd movie theater located in Skokie
